Volvo 290 leg problems

 Hi

I've been having this problem recently with my volvo 290sp leg, It seems to take a while engaging into reverse while its cold, Forward's not a problem

after the fist time the reverse has been engaged its ok after that. I have recently changed the oil in the leg, All so the reverse cable is very stiff.

I hope someone out there can help me with this problems

 Lubricate (lanox) the actuator where the cable connects and runs down to the leg and again where the cable links to the gearbox at the other end. In and out of gear lots so it penetrates.
