Well... if I have to exercise I may as well enjoy it.

Decided I needed to get a little more active so this is what I did this morning.
15 minutes down hill and down wind to the beach.
A selection of small lures and mini poppers in a backpack
Second cast and a herring on a small metal slice, much to the disgust of the three blokes that were fishing off Burns Beach mole, who hadn't caught a cracker all morning.
Had a shot at a couple of good size tailor cruising past with a popper but no interest.
Didn't get to try out my new home made lure though.
Maybe next time.
The trip back home was a bitch (uphill all the way and into the wind.) I am not as young as I used to be.

Like the Bottle top Lure
looks the goods Andy might have to knock a couple up myself...please tell me you weren't suited up in lycra whilst fishing lol...I would've thought you'd get the mrs to pick you up for the trip home being you had to lugg the herring back as well

Gave the herring to the fishless fisho's
I felt guilty second cast and all.
Plus the trip was always going to be a C&R gig anyway.
