If it's the platform on the south wall you mean, then it's been farked for a bit. About a year ago they put big rocks in front of as hooks had been driving cars onto it!! Not long after it was all taped off and a couple of months ago the part that joins the rock wall had collapsed a bit, so it quite possibly could have come down, either that or it's been taken down.

Why don't you take your grand

Why don't you take your grand kids on the inner wall on the long jetty. The fish aren't big but if you get out more than say 10 meters you can get a good variety to catch and release - baby pinkys, whiting, odd herring, wrasse, small reef fish and it's worth dropping down a crab net. On the rock side of the platform you can drop squid jigs in holes for cuttlefish. You'll not got many blowies if you get it away from the jetty.
