Where to mount bait board

Hi all
Trying to decide where to mount the bait board I'm getting a custom board made up to go on the boat a jackman 7.5m and can't decide weather to mount it on the starboard side or the stern all my drift fishing is done from the port side of the boat would it get in the way if mounted at the back of the boat when trolling. It is going to be hard mounted so moving between the two spots is not an option.
Here are a couple of pics
Cheers

I've got mine set up on the centre of the transom but hanging over the back of engine well so you cant walk into it. Works good for me, cant really fish off the back centre anyway because of outboard in the way. Just need to make sure when u trim outboards up they don't clash, mine does clash when trimmed right up but the bait board is removable so all good

Maybe make it with rail
Maybe make it with rail mounts so you can put it anywhere????
I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

i have mine mounted on the side just behind
the passeger seat ,do all my drifting on the one side and it leaves the whole back deck open which is great when a fish takes a run around the boat ,esky fits nicely just underneath

Depending on the type of
Depending on the type of trolling you are looking to do, a transom-mounted baitboard can actually be of benefit. If you're running skirted lures from the gunwale, the additional height of a rodholder attached to a strongly-built baitboard is ideal for running a shotgun.

Centre of transom with a live bait tank or tackle tray storage underneath and rod holders off the back?
