sorry about the incorrect term used for the "troll" under the bridge lads haha, well anyway we didnt even bother with the lures today just wasnt feeling it and was only asking anyway as ive been away for 5 weeks...
Alas on a brighter note managed 3 nice skippy 1 king gorgies nothing of any great size but also a very nice surprise red snapper in close that got sent home to swim another day..
Went pretty well. Got a heap of big fat sandies, skippy, black ass, three sized dhuies, flattie, bakers, big squid and got the first KG for the boat (Actually, first i've ever seen anywhere offshore..)
One of the squid was a trip. Came up on a bait, a bit beat up and a few tentacles missing but hood length of 36cm!

Try for sum king george and trawl a few skirted lures around for a tuna fingers crossed..
Has anybody had any luck at all yet trawling around the back of rotto or five fathom bank lately?

You trawl nets, you troll
You trawl nets, you troll lures.
But in answer, have not heard of too much success with tuna taking lures lately. I have not seen a tuna school for about 7 months.
