Wind Wind Wind, when will it stop?

Anyone have an idea when the wind will allow us to go fish??  It's quite frustrating and then the forecast shows wind but if I check outside there is no wind. When I get to the coast it feels like a gale force. I am only about 15 km from the cost line but I am seeing a massive diff in the wind speeds?

I'm no expert but it seems to me some of the forecasts are also a bit dodgy sometimes? This I don't understand because they should all use the same data and interpret it the same way?

Summer pattern unfortunately fellas, SE howling in the morning, maybe a lull, then the Dr comes in the arvo.

Down here at Yallingup it will be SE in Dunsborough, drive to Canal rocks and the Sea Breeze ,SW is blowing.

Frustrating alright. Autumn is coming, best time of the year.!!

yep me too SATURDAY i'm going down the river, might chuck the crab nets in for a while then out of freo to a little bit of coral I know off the side of rotto and hopefully find a dhu or 2  fu@@$# seabreeze!!!, at least we can be in quickly if its too horrible but when youve been at work all week and you see the boat in the driveway every night it gets a bit depressing ! night wind?

Tue, 2011-01-18 20:14

what confuses me is that for almost every night the predictions (seabreeze at least) are for south westerlies howling all night. yet 2 out of every 3 nights the wind drops at about 8-8:30 to almost nothing, like it has tonight.

Why dont the predictions reflect this? or is it that they dont know which nights the wind will or wont drop so they just dont try and show strong wind for every night?

Take this time of the year to get the boat ready for Autumn.  Spit and polish, New gear maybe?  Make up a few rigs or something to keep you busy.  It's rarely too rough to drop a few crab nets in the river too even if you do get a bit wet?
