Lowrance Sounders
Lowrance Structure Scan Settings
Submitted by Kristof on Wed, 2014-10-29 15:07I've got a structure scan on my boat that I got to find good diving spots, but I can't get it to work properly. Is there a best pallet, contrast, range or other setting that I should use?
What settings does everybody use?
I know it's a tricky question because on fish finders everbody has their personal preferences on the clutter, etc...
Cheers
Kristof

Depth Line
Submitted by C.P on Sat, 2014-09-27 15:56Does any one use depth line on their Lowrance sounder? Is it similar to the white line function described in John Adams book?

Lowrance HDS5 Gen 1 Sambo screenshots
Submitted by beau on Tue, 2014-09-16 18:56Here's a few screenshots from my HDS5 of sambos.
Sensitivity 75-85%
Default Colour pallet
200khz
The shallow ones are from Five Fathom Bank and the 40s is south of Rotto. Sambos are the easiest species to distinguish on my sounder, very solid return and characteristically the fish "stack up" on top of each other sometimes up to 20m off the bottom. Ive added a video (not mine) as what I interpret my sounder to be reading with the fish stacked up on top of each other, and a fair way off the bottom.
