Lowrance Sounders

Discussion on Lowrance Sounders

Lowrance Structure Scan Settings

I've got a structure scan on my boat that I got to find good diving spots, but I can't get it to work properly. Is there a best pallet, contrast, range or other setting that I should use?

What settings does everybody use?

I know it's a tricky question because on fish finders everbody has their personal preferences on the clutter, etc...

Cheers

The sand whiting were pretty thick west of the Alkimos wreck yesterday.

Depth Line

Does any one use depth line on their Lowrance sounder? Is it similar to the white line function described in John Adams book?

Lowrance structure/ side scan

Here is a shot of the D9 from when I first got the HDS9. I have played with it since and had some great immages of the Saxony Ranger (Warnbro Sound) but never took photo's.. Next time I'm there I will...

Lowrance HDS5 Gen 1 Sambo screenshots

Here's a few screenshots from my HDS5 of sambos.

Sensitivity 75-85%

Default Colour pallet

200khz

The shallow ones are from Five Fathom Bank and the 40s is south of Rotto. Sambos are the easiest species to distinguish on my sounder, very solid return and characteristically the fish "stack up" on top of each other sometimes up to 20m off the bottom. Ive added a video (not mine) as what I interpret my sounder to be reading with the fish stacked up on top of each other, and a fair way off the bottom.
