Air Con Replacement Advice

Hey all.
I am looking at replacing my 14y old Celair evaporative system which has a 750w motor. I’ve had a look at replacing it with a refrigerated system however I am looking north of $10k and already have a split system in my bedroom for those humid nights and find that for the majority of the year the evap system does a decent job of cooling the house to a comfortable level and we don’t use heaters in the house so only need cooling during summer.
I can do a straight swap out of the Celair unit for a Bonaire unit using the same dropper and am looking at $3k for a like for like 750w system or can go slightly bigger to a 950w system for $3.4k or a 950w system with a bigger cabinet and larger pads for $3.6k.
Alternatively I’ve also received a quote from a different company for a Braemar LCQI450 unit and dropper swap over for $5k or a Breezair EXS180 with new dropper and flashing will cost $5.4k.
I know there’s a couple of fellas on here who are in the air con game and possibly some who have gone down the same route so hoping that they can provide some feedback on the options I have.
Cheers JF

Breezair
Hi JF,
I have a large Breezair unit coming out on Friday, was installed at the end of December 2020, and only used very minimally over the past couple of summers.
Not sure if the warranty is transferrable, but my ducted installers will rescue the roof unit, dropper box, dropper skirt, flashing and MagiQtouch wall control unit (no ducting).
Our house is a very large, extended 1930s build with high ceilings 3.2-3.5m and this unit cooled the whole house on very low fan cycle.
Full service and clean, April last year.
Our previous Breezair lasted 19 years.
If you are interested and can find an installer, all yours for $400

Legend thanks mate and it was extremely tempting but I think I'll go new for warranty purposes, colour matching and ease of installation etc

Don't use heaters! Yikes!!
All depends on what you were previously happy with.
Was it pushing enough air when running strong?
I would swap out for refrigerated as thats what I have.
Different strokes for..

Lol. I deal with the cold fairly well as do the kids who run around in shorts and tshirt all winter. I like the idea of full swap out of refridgerated system but it's a fairly significant price difference but I'll flick you a PM for a more accurate cost estimate.
I found I was running the Celair at 3/4 to full capacity pretty much all of the time and was having problems with the motor dying 3x over the 14 years I had it and now the control box is fecked. It's a nice to have but it'd be good to have wifi capability to control it remotely and have better control over timers etc.

Having remote control is
Having remote control is bloody good Frosty. At our old house my wife (unbeknown to me) would leave the whole house reverse cycle on all day so it was nice and cool/warm when she and the kids got home! The next house we got the wifi option for nothing and it was perfect! Building again soon and we've got wifi control again.
