Cray Diving

My new Assistant Manager dives & has volunteered to come out on the boat & grab some crays for me (he doesn't eat seafood LoL). I normally fish around GI & always see divers being dragged behind boats, is the technique used to cover more ground & are they crays they're diving for?

i do a bit of diving when i get draged by the boat its normally for crabs but when im up north on shallow reef(2-5 meters) i prefered to get towed around by the boat because of the current, i normally chaseing bluebone and coral trout using this techneque but i do get crays as well(painted/green) the sourthern seem to go more in sheltered reef so they would be harder to spot. you can see their feelers much it would be easier just to throw the anchor out and swim around for them.
