hey guys, heading down to denmark next weekend and am in research mode. i have found a few spots worthy of a try. the main thing i am struggling with is finding a boat ramp.
the map i have looked at has said there is one at ocean beach. is that a beach launch? or is it a sealed ramp? i have never done a beach launch and not really that confident. is the ramp in the estuary sealed? at least one of the days i will be heading to albany and having a try out there but if i dont have to drive that far i wont.
and lastly any reports on the salmon or is the water temp still too high??
any help or advice would be appreciated.

Ocean Beach
Is a beach launch, and a tricky one at that. Any amount of swell makes the launch/retrieve a challenging one. If you haven't beach launched before, my advice would be not to break your cherry at ocean beach. What type of fish are you chasing?

to be honest anything that
to be honest anything that will take my line. i have done a bit of reseach should be able to get onto some kgs, flatties, skippy, bream, salmon and a shark or two from shore. not 100% sure what we would encounter on the boat.

There is one in Nornalup in
There is one in Nornalup in the river just off the hwy and I found one in the wilson inlet down a gravel road (cant remember the name) near some bnbs just out of town towards Albany when I was looking for free camping spots (didnt find any haha). Not sure if they are sealed or not
All work and no fishing makes me a dull boy!!!!!!!!

the river mouth is closed at the moment
and so if you want to put your boat in the ocean the options are beach launch only at parry beach, peaceful bay, ocean beach and apparently madfish bay. I haven't seen the launch spot at madfish bay though, I'm only going off the denmark tourist bureau website.
Fishin for a feed and fun.

parrys beach is alright in
parrys beach is alright in most conditions for a beach launch.
peaceful bay is a good beach launch in a sheltered bay however if the weather gets shitty can be a bit tricky to navigate the channel through the reefs back in.
Albany has plenty of options for boat ramps and fishing in most conditions
walpole has good launchin facilities for all conditions and alot of choices if the weather is rough stick to the estuary and catch bream flatties and whiting and if the weather is good head out through the mouth you only have to go a couple kays and your on good ground.
what size boat will you be launching?
If your new to beach launching probably steer clear of ocean beach as it is a prick of a place with plenty of rips and strong tides and swell to throw the boat all over the joint.
