Dilemma!! - What to do

What to do is the question!
Put my cray pots in on Sunday, and have not been able to get out and check them.
The weather looks the goods this weekend, so the normal thing to do is go out Saturday and check.
However, am going to Karratha for work Friday, with the possibility of staying up there for the weekend.... and i know its a long way out, but the weather is looking pretty dam good!@!
this would mean I'd have to attempt to get my pots monday or Tuesday next week, which could mean no crays!@!@!
IT's a hard life with Decisions like this!

Well, as far as I know you
Well, as far as I know you cant get someone else to pull your pots, but if you give me permission to raid them underwater, i'll save half for you
Oh, and just in case its too far out for your tinny, you better lend me your boat too, hehe.
(guessing that pulling crays from pots is still not allowed even with permission though)

if you could get out ..
if you could get out early this week, bait them right up, you might stand a chance of the crays staying in the pots. Thats where the cow hide used to come in handy.

i coudl get out tomrorow
i coudl get out tomrorow after work, but I'd have to put up with 20+ know winds which is ok, but a 2.4m swell at rotto would be awful hard work! even in my boat.

Not sure?
The occys and wobbys would clean out any crays by then wouldn't they? I think you might just have to give it a miss till you get back. You can always buy some anyway with all the extra money you'll be getting for working up in Karratha!

SOunds like you don't have
SOunds like you don't have much choice. We've had crays in the pots after more than a week, with hardly any bait, just bones.

Dilema
Bodie, just recently we could not pull our pots for 5 days, we went out expecting to bait up only to find we had seven size keepers and three females with roe and just bones in the bait boxs, so you may be as lucky as we were here in Kalbarri.
Good luck

nash i usually check mine
nash i usually check mine once a week on the weekends, and in previous years we get plenty of crays. And when i say plenty i mean between 20 and 40 per pot!
Not concerned about there being crays in them or not, more that I've not had a fresh oen yet and my taste buds are drooling!
Altho, 2 days in ktown with what looks like pretty dam good conditions is looking a much better option!
Pots i can get monday with the almost no winds forecasted!

nah your right re: wobbys
nah your right re: wobbys and occys
Thing with wobbys i found seems to be what bait you use. You use silver skinned fish like skippy...always get wobbys
Use tuna heads, get none.
Occy's well they seem to get them somtimes even if you leave your pots in for only 1 day!
