Dual battery systems
Submitted by Sea goat on Sat, 2020-02-22 11:22
Hi guys. Looking to get a dual battery system for a 200 series landcruiser. In the past ivf only had red arc setups from arb. Any other brands/installers people have found worked well? Will be mainly for running the fridge.
cheers!

Redarc bcdc charger behind
Redarc bcdc charger behind the grill not in the engine bay with deep cycle battery.on rhs behind headlight or if room and wallet permits lithium battery in rear with a bcdc charger next to it.
I have both systems running in a dual cabbed 200 and both are faultless.

These guys do a great kit that makes the install nice and easy.
From there it’s pretty simple to run power through the firewall, under the kickplates and into the rear guard.
I just did mine yesterday actually. I added an in cab dual battery monitor and battery link switch as well.

Battery Monitor
Hey Dodgy, what battery monitor did you get. I'd like to fit one. I had a dual battery with Redarc BCDC fitted by ARB to my 200 Series

Was just a cheap display
Was just a cheap display that shows voltage for main and auxiliary battery. It clips into the standard 200 switch spaces. Only thing I found is it is on the whole time voltage is there so I wired in a relay to switch the negative on and off. Lots of flash ones on the market but don't have too much room to mount another display.
