Exmouth - October Boating Weather
Submitted by Janda on Mon, 2014-08-04 20:15
Oh learned travellers....
Planning a 2 week trip to exmouth in early October (school holidays) and chasing some info on expected weather at that time of the year from those that have been up there.
We typically head up to Kalbarri & Shark Bay at that time of the year and generally find the weather a bit hit and miss for boating/fishing (small 16ft runabout with kids on board - so generally have to settle for pretty calm weather).
Not sure if I can justify dragging the boat all the way to exmouth for a few decent days, so hoping for a "heads up" on weather conditions.
Thank guys.

I do Exxie for a couple of weeks every year start of November. Weather is usually terrible. Blowing every day.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

Wouldn't mind. Doing the 2
Wouldn't mind. Doing the 2 weeks at the start of nov chasing blues with Pete and then he is back early Dec for a few days with Eddie. If it comes together he might get fired up enough to drag the boat back for Heavy Tackle and leave it there till Gamex.
You fishing Heavy Tackle or Gamex?

How sea would it be if it's
How sea would it be if it's perfect weather and u don't have the boat- can always stay inside the gulf , last year November had 3 weeks of spectacular weather , with only 4 bad days in between , however take the boat up and u will have bad weather.

I was up there for the school hols last October and it was 20+ every day bar one. In saying that there's some amazing fishing down around the airport that'd be perfect for a 16 footer.
