Yes Dale, but those pages
Yes Dale, but those pages have thousands of people so there's bound to be a few douches kicking around! The FB fishing pages have their advantages as well as their disadvantages though...

I find the tailor, flathead
I find the tailor, flathead and yellowfin whiting pages great.
The bream page is an absolute joke and the squid page is ok but run by an absolute douche. The general fishing pages are what you'd expect from those joining a general fishing page and the Buy and Sell one can be hilarious with some of the prices people expect for their second hand gear.

My biggest irk, when people post up photos and others comment with "Where?". Shits me to no end.
Though seeing someone ask "What's the best wind for ballooning?" really made my day.

I dont have FB at all
Although I joined to follow my son on his European Music tour. Have not bothered again and cant see the point.
But a question I would have is why bother with facebook fishing pages when you have a forum like this and where douche bags are shown the ropes, or sometimes better booted off.
I cant see any advantage other than maybe for a laugh, but then I would have to read crap from Goatruter, Fishaking and a few others I had the pleasure off laughing at over the years.

Amongst a lot of shit you do
Amongst a lot of shit you do get some good information on there, due to the vast amount of information on there.
It is the instantaneous regularity of people putting images/reports of fish as soon as they are caught that i like about it.

This forum has absolutely
This forum has absolutely nothing on the amount of catches and info posted on the fishing pages on Facebook, not even close! Guys that dont have it and bag it out (not referring to you) really have no idea. At the moment there is not 1 post on here about the 20+ mulloway caught at north mole this morning but its all the rage on FB at the moment

Totally agree beau, with
Totally agree beau, with facebook it's easier to post photos instantaneously, thus you see things as they happen. I find I use fishwrecked for general information and gaining from others experience where as facebook pages for what people have caught and where (within reason) on the day.

yeah snags is right,
yeah snags is right, fishwrecked is great and the info is top notch, but on here there is a relatively small amount of people taking a great deal of time and effort to inform us of how they went or of something great they have come across, but on facebook pages there is a large amount of people giving you a small amount of information very quickly after they themselves found out/caught\had something happen to them.

you post a mulloway caught
you post a mulloway caught at mole, 3000 people end up next to you in 15min. looked like mayhem and distruction of the mulloway. that place will be thrashed

I think most of the guys
I think most of the guys there originally were just hoping for a salmon by the sounds, not a bad bycatch haha

and alot of people don't post anymore
its like the guy at lano with his great dhu and good catch, might get 1000 reads and no one comments, and then theres all the negativity is that? do you know the limit, how many anglers cause it looks like you got too many and the list goes on and on,my 5cs worth

Lot of people don't post as
Lot of people don't post as they don't want 1000 people hitting their area, and fair enough, they put in the time, research, they have history of what runs when etc. and people want this info without lifting a finger. Its really not that hard to get onto the bigger fish or constant good catches, look at Little johny's boys, killing the pig, its more than just the spot, you need to know what you are doing, not think you know what your doing.. bait, tide moon, rigs, beer etc.. you get this all right and you will get the fish.
If you like facebook fishing, great, each time someone posts a good catch, then the next day you will have a thousand people there.
Good luck, tight lines and if you don't like this site then just piss off and don't bag it from your key board, save that shit for face book

I've found it's more about
I've found it's more about putting in the time than having "spots" I've worked out in the last couple of years that the fish move around at certain times of the year. Go to one spot and kill the pig, back the next week and not a nibble. You have to hunt the fish boys and as well as finding the fish there's a good amount of good luck involved. Pass me my 101 dear ;)

Yep
Agree Andy, even tho I've only had time to fish the river this year, lots of my best bream have come from spots that don't produce much. Its just I keep moving and trying my techniques in likely looking areas.
Fish like Bream and Mulloway can move from area to area and just because I got a nice fish today doesn't mean I will get another one there tomorrow.
As far as F/B pages, you can get some info if you filter through all the crap,
I have probably 100 hours of Bream fishing from my GoPro and am finding it hard to want to share it. The last time I posted a picture with a small Mulloway, saw the spot loaded with 10 or more fishers the next day. And that was on FW , I would hate to see what happened if I put the picture on a Face book page .
