Feel for Brayshaw getting Ko'd but don't think Maynard has anything to worry about.
That last quarter had me swearing at the umps for not seeing or not acting on the obvious frees that weren't awarded but thankfully time ran out for the Demons .
Don't know where they would be if Gawn goes missing, he carried them for the whole game

Was at the game on Friday night. Initially thinking I'd like the pies to get up (I feel they deserve it), but after long chants of COOOOLLLLLIIIINNNNGGGWWWWOOOODDD as if it was the last minute and they were 10 goals up, but it was 5 minutes into the 1st quarter, followed by booing chest marks paid to GWS, I quickly converted... remained silent though as I had to catch the train past Collingwood station to get back to where I was starying!!!

Should be a great game to cap what has been a pretty decent finals series with plenty of tight games!
I'm also quietly confident Pies can get the job done. With the week off entering finals and then another week off if you win through the qualifying finals, Prelims are bloody tough with only a single game in essentially a 4 week period at the crunch time of the season. They looked a little rusty with their quick movement through the middle of the ground last week which I am hoping they will be on top of now with the prelim under their belt!
I didn't see the start of the Carlton v Brisbane game but can only guess Brisbane were also a little flat in the first quarter and a half.
Obviously hoping for a Collingwood win, but mainly hoping that it isn't a blow out either way.... Last year I turned it off just after half time!

Good win pies, I'm starting to see a few too many Selwood Shuey style knew dropping flinging the head back by young daicos. Hopefully the blow torch gets put on him and he nips it in the bud early in his career.
Bummer the advantage was paid late ( when there wasn't any ), sorry of seemed like an anti climax from a neutral perspective in the end.

When you look at the tough list management decisions regarding Grundy and Treloar since 2018 ( even paying some of their wages ) and the path Collingwood has taken, that further emphasises the problems at WC.
If Sheed had missed the kick and WC weren't premiers 5 years ago , there would be a much bigger blow torch being put on that club imo.
Bring on 2024...

I know Umpire make mistakes
I know Umpire make mistakes as we all do but I don't ever remember a year where more critical bad calls were made ( or weren't made )...
I'm sure everyone has one or two in mind but the Adelaide no goal still baffles me!!
Also I think its ridiculous a goal umpire has to make a call when he has no idea and then if its not conclusive in the ARC ( which it needs to be ) then it goes back to the guess the umpire has made!!
And lastly which I have already mentioned was the "advantage" call in the GF...... Just call the fucking ball back umpire you clown.... Everyone, the TV camera operator, the commentators, the players, didn't hear the free kick call, Brisbane just kept playing ( not taking advantage ) the ball.... Then advantage gets called and there wasn't any and its game over....
Good for Pies but that game deserved an epic finish, not a keepy off last minute......

I agree on the advantage call. I doubt he would have kicked a score from there and it could have ehnded up in Collingwood's hands anyway. It would have been nice to find out.

Went to a party last night and the lucky bloke handed me a lovely new $10 note for a bet we had before the start of the season, My side the Maggies to finish top 4 and Eagles to finish bottom 4, his was just for the Eagles to finish top half of the comp. Easy money for someone who doesn't usually bet on something unless I already know the result.
He wasn't so keen on a bet for next season where the Pies are top 4 again and the Eagles having improved a bit to go bottom 6, up 2 from this year.
