Ive got a thumper of a book at home which me grandad gave me for identifying fish species but its old has over 1500 pages in it and wieghs a tonne! Im looking for something that could almost go into the tackle bag or someones boat. Preferably water proof but doesnt have to be. Ive heard Adams got a great one but what are the good ones and wheres the best place to get it. The most ive seen are all the same and only have the same fisj which i already know what they are. Any info would be great. Cheers Chris.

Only one choice - sea fishes
Only one choice - sea fishes of southern australia - Hutchins/Swainston
The northern choice would be the one by Gerry Allen - would be the best for North of Shark Bay.
Museum bookshop. These are the best - fullstop.
