I think the word upset may not be quite the right word to use about this bloke.
My curiosity is screaming at me to find out just what the hell he was doing and was he the subject of their surveillance.
Two things point me in the direction that perhaps he was just a meth user looking for a target to take his bent delusions out on. One being of no fixed address, and two his very violent behaviour.
There is no mention of the Fisheries Officers being hurt physically which is good to see, but I wonder about the psychological effects this may have on them. It certainly is not the thing you would expect fisheries officers would have to deal with.
Reporters can save soo much time and effort if they just write an article that simply says "another junkie doing what they do best, no one injured, junkie will be out tomorrow" just another day in wa.

but what i cant understand why un marked car surveilance in that area ?? my view is youd be lucky to catch blowies there , think there maybe more to this story than what is being reported
fisheries may need to explain their undercover operation ,if they were arrassing till he breaks because of hear say then that irresponsible, report mentions nothing about suspected illegal fishing , but does mention a broom handle & hammer.seems to me all he wanted is to be left the F^%k alone, also if he was on the wacky weed woldnt the police have tested him for that ?
i know nothing on this other than whats on this post , but it seems like a lopsided { fishy} story. & the fact that they didnt raid his home afterwards is also suspicious.

I highly doubt they'd be sitting there because it was something they wanted to do for fun - at the end of the day, why they were there is irrelvant IMO if the report as presented is correct. Clearly the muppet has issues, and needs to be held accountable. I dare say there's a fair chance he would have donated some blood to the coppers, for analysis.
Haven't read any reports as yet but don't rule out mental Health.
I believe we have a system running on breaking point due to cuts and available beds when it comes to mental health...include help for ice, we call them the scum of the earth but as we know it can grab the best of us.
