fishing holiday ideas

An oportunity to get away by myself and just fish could possibly develop around the end of March next year. What I want to do is find an ideal location where I can walk with my tackle bag and cast artificial's all day into preferably fish rich waters. At the end of the day or when I've had enough retire to a modest but comfortable beach front accomodation for beers and bed.
I've never been to Exmouth, would that be the kind of place for that kind of holiday? Looking for suggestions please fella's.
Cheers

Maybe not as exciting as Exmouth but Walpole is a beautiful place to wade the shallows, heaps of fish...

The art of fishing consists of casting, winding, trolling and jigging
while freezing, sweating, swatting and swearing.

its a fair old (relatively uninspiring) walk to the beach from Exmouth, unless at the Lighthouse Park or down the coast?
Give a man a mask, and he'll show you his true face...
The older you get the more you realize that no one has a f++king clue what they're doing.
Everyone's just winging it.

Esperance, the salmon should be starting to show up about that time of year.

Beach fishing for salmon...
...with artificials, is usually more of a "sprint and a heave" than a "stroll and a flick"!
Anyway, not that I've done it personally, but did see a Fishing WA episode where Ryan and co were tossing stickbaits/poppers for little trevs and queenies at the Bundegi flats near Exmouth...using bream gear. Looked like brilliant fun! I'd check with him (on here or at his shop) regarding details like tides/time of year/specific lures/etc....

Like any other fishing it's
Like any other fishing it's all about how you approach it. Sprinting up & down a beach is too much like hard work for me these days, the lazy approach still gets me into the fish.
Nothing wrong with flicking lures around the Bundegi Flats though, or plenty of other places around Exxy. You should be able to get the drag singing up there no problems.

Thanks for your input guys. I grew up fishing the south coast and still love it but pretty keen to head up a bit. I think I'll investigate Exmouth further.
