Fishwrecked 2011 Exmouth Invitational
Hi Guys,
I have opened the 2011 Fishwrecked Exmouth comp entry section. Below is the link to pay your entry fees. I have changed the price of entry to $30 pp instead of $40 as it was a bit of a price increase (mind you, you guys get to win it anyway and its still very cheap compared to other local EGFC comps) It would be great to see you guys lock it in early and make the effort to come up. To date the competition has only really been open to fishwrecked members and it would be nice to see it stay that way if you guys support it.
It will be the : 9th, 10th and 11th of April 2011
It is earlier in 2011 to try and get some better weather and better tides for bottom fishing and warmer water for BIG pelagics. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Was there complaints about the $40 adam? I think $40 is fine for a 3 day event, like you say its there for us to win, and for the awards night so I'm happy to pay that.

I would think most would be ok with $40- have a green light to attend next year and I'm stocking up on the Richters!

Nah, no complaints, thought it may just be easier to go up in $10 lots though and may make it more appealing for you guys. Having said that, your points are very valid, whats $10 in the scheme of things. All goes back into your pockets anyway, well, if you win. :) Ahh well, will stick with the $30 and go from there, hopefully if we get some early sign ups it will make it easy to get other sponsors.

The main thing is that its a fun comp and not too serious. I think most of you that have been up for the last 2 years realise that its more in having a good time, a few laughs, telling a few fishing stories and a cold beer or two with people that you may not have met yet but have plenty in common with.

Most of the spots can be reached by 2WD. Some of the more remote areas (less abused) you will need a 4x4, but they all are reachable with the feet anyway, just a bit of a slog.

2011 FW Prize
First prize of the 2011 comp announced : A tyrnos 20 and backbone rod (or something similar) for the largest spanish mack caught during the comp (thanks to Dodgy)

Well I have been working
Well I have been working hard to get the wife to see this is a good idea for my next big fishing trip.....it's a fare haul from Darwin and all but it looks like she has seen the light....so if I can con dodgy or faulksy out of a deckie spot you should see me there next year......
Will any of the locals been keen to share some local info with a fisho from the NT...??

Few ex Darwin blokes in Exmouth Rods. Pretty sure you might have met a few of them. I rekon Harmsey should tow Renegade over for AIBT and leave it in Exmouth for the extra month.

Might be a bit far to tow her dodgy.... looks like Faulksy will be run off fishing in darwin when the comp is on so it might all now not happen ..... not keen on rock fishing :-(
