Had been using whites,but not so successful at the moment.

Nice catch, must have been pleased seeing that come over the side. Salt and pepper squid, very nice. Beat the chicko roles I have thawing.

We have the Pilbara fish
We have the Pilbara fish truck coming here on Wednesday, and I’ll be scouting for some squid if he has some, or probably spend up on coral trout and Red Emperor fillets. Happy days. He’s here till 6 o’clock so hope I’m back by then.

Chicko rolls are great
That is until you get one that has a great big hunk of ice in the middle, like I got at the old lake way drive inn some years back, toasty hot on the outside but had this ice block on the inside not impressed.

Yep- I'm the same. I have the craving now and then for a Chicko Roll, but have also had the odd crappy one over the years. It put's you off for quiet awhile.
Nothing better than your own cooked fresh grilled squid on the bbq with a cold beer! mmmmm.

Caught up with the fish
Caught up with the fish monger this evening, no squid but got some ripper fillets, some emperor and chips on the go now, beers cold, it’s a good night.
