gladiator snakeskin 6-8kg snapper rod

has anyone used these, was thinking of getting one for up nirth ans light tackle salmon fishing and ofcourse soft plastics for snapper. found them for $139 buy one get one free.,
should i go for it ?

I have a few gladiator reels and have found them hard to break, the kingpin 5000 and the X, they go pretty bloody hard and I test them on solid fish regularly. Might not have the 'name' brand but I can't fault them as yet.
