Couldnt agree more Brad - who cares if you get out thats a bonus

I spent a week with some mates up north once and we managed to get out inside the reef once for 2 hours and that was it. Still managed to be one of the best trips ever as backyard cricket got a workout and some classic new rules came into play. So even if you dont get fishing you will still have a blast

It gives you somewhere to store the extra gear in even if you don't use it.
Remember a trip to Gnaraloo years back, put the boat on a mooring the first day and that was it.We invented 2can fishing for the rest of the fortnight. You put a full can[in can holder unopened]in you shorts pocket and an open one in your top pocket. As you wander along flicking a lure about trying to catch a fish, when the open can is empty you swap it for the full one and you start heading back towards the esky, any fish caught have to be released because you have no way of carrying them.Once back at the esky sit down and relax with a freshy then start all over again.

Mate in my books, if iam given the chance GO , sure it may be windy and hot but as the others have said , you never know what might happen and its still better than being at home wishing you had done something with your spare time over xmas
