Good rod in the 6-10kg mark

Hey guys, in your opinion what would be a good rod and reel 5-10kg for soft plastics, metals and smaller poppers i will be chasing trout to small Gt`s using jig heads in the 1-2oz range Also using bait occasionally. I have a really nice 3-5kg loomis and its tippy as hell but has a really strong back section. I was thinking of something like that, any ideas and a reel to match.

Best Option IMO

Shimano Terez 15-30lb 7' Spin.  Great rod, light, nice flicky tip section and heaps of power to tame something bigger.

Then put a 5000 size reel on it.  I use either a my old Stradic FI or my new Sustain FG.

Works a treat!

Lemax SlimMax

Lemax SlimMax SM-S70 is a killer allrounder, I've used mine for everything from shallow water plastics through to tuna on slices.

Another option could be the Lemax Black Rose - the 6'6" or 7fter would hit the mark.

But for allround usability and value for money the SlimMax is fantastic.

PM me for more info or pricing.

Depending on your budget

Depending on your budget there a few different options. The FWA 7ft plastics stick is a very popular rod for plastics but still at home for punching around small poppers for small GT's. We will have more of these coming into stock soon. Another option would be the Pflueger Patriarch 6-14lb rod. This rod is a little under rated and more a 14-20lb rod. Very light and will handle flicking plastics for trout and poppers for smaller GT's and big Queenfish. This rod goes for $215 FW price.

Just got a Eupro Salty

Thu, 2012-10-18 22:35

Just got a Eupro Salty Fighter with a Pflueger Salt reel from Oceanside and couldn't be happier, rated 5-10kg and is a fantastic little setup, the best part is that it's real sensitive and yet surprisingly strong.
