holiday destinations with good LB fishing
Submitted by Darth_Fish on Sun, 2012-10-21 13:46
wasn't sure if this is the right forum, but seeing as though i'll be doing lb fishing i figured i'd use this one.
looking at organising a trip in january for the family and some friends and would like some input from you all. looking at somewhere no more than 5 or 6 hour drive from perth, with holiday home rentals (for the chicks). all the blokes are keen fisho'z so would like someplace productive, unfortunatlly we don't have a boat so it's landbased all the way. i was thinking busso, but me brother inlaw reckons it's not that great.

Book early
It's going to be tough to hire a home as people come from everywhere that time of year. Kalbarri is great for everyone. Busso is a great place in that you can do day trips to many locations down there.
For somewhere closer to home try Moore River. Plenty of holiday homes up there and the fishing is generally good. Jurien is probably worth a look also.

3 Dayer
Yes; probably worth a week up there. Even if you go to Busso you still are restricted by travel each way and then travel to spots outside the town. Me? I'm off to Hopeton or Esperance. Spend a few days down there camping. WA has plenty to offer. It's just a matter of booking early.

No more than 5 or 6 hours
No more than 5 or 6 hours you said, oh, if you drive a land rover, might take you longer.......What about sbends http://www.sbend.com.au, Im lookin to get a few days campin over chrissy, dunno about availability, and the heat (mrs and kids) although we did survive a 48 deg day in Bazza over oz day weekend thanks to some garden hose and some retic sprayers.
