Hyundai ILoad TQ-V Van information

Hi all

Looking at purchasing a van to service the business. Looking at the Hyundai ILoad TQ-V Van with the rear seat as an option.

Any advice on the Iload would be appreciated. I need the rear seat option for the kids. Not old enough for the front seat yet.

Regards

Dave

Get the diesel.  The service

Get the diesel.  The service center driver tells me it runs forever on a full tank.

Great van with plenty of features for your money.

yes the diesel is good but we have unleaded petrol manuals on fleet.

the resale value on them is really good compared to a lot of other vans and their warranty service is very good( not that much at all goes wrong with them)

If you are looking to purchase one new it is pretty hard to go past John Hughes. They run a good operation that's for sure. But shop around to see who has the best deal.

I would be waiting until the new year though to get something with 2013 compliance. It may sound silly but the resale will be a lot better having waited all of 6 weeks difference

We've got one of the diesels

We've got one of the diesels with just the front seats at work and i must say that i'm very impressed with it.  It's a big vehicle, but drives like a car.  Much better on fuel than my Ranger too!

Will definately look at the diesel. Looking at second hand scano, can't afford new unfortunately.

John Hughes has a good second hand one at the moment that ticks all of my requirements. Will have a look tomorrow.

*Cringe* @ Hyundai. If you are purchasing new, or near new, well you've got the warranty, outside that, like any Hyundai be prepared for regular repairs.........

I do have my reservations, however, thought i would ask the question. Are you talking from personal experience?

Cheers

Haha, Im a mechanic, I hate

Haha, Im a mechanic, I hate all cars lol, well not all of them. Havent had much to do with the iloads, just a general Hyundai opinion/fact. Think they have apretty good warranty period from new tho, dont know what the dealerships are like to deal with in those cases of warranty. Wont hurt to google up some reviews and search for common issues as they have been out for a while now. But like most vehicle these days apart from a few manufacturers, start getting upward of 50000kms and issues may arise, or extra servicing costs you may not expect. Theyre all built on the cheap so they can compete on the market with having all the bells and whistles. Late model diesels with DPFs (diesel particulate filters) are ones to watch, seeing a few with issues nowdays when the DPF blocks up or has issues, customers pick their cars up 3 grand or so later....ouch! And not high km cars either. My mate bought a brand spanka isusu 3t truck and the thing started playin up in exy and had to drive it back to Perth, boat in tow flat to the boards doing 70 cos it decided to go into limp mode. Dealership had it (including giving it back thinkn they got it sorted several times) for 3 weeks and eventually after much part replacements (guess mechanic diagnosis) it seems to be ok. All good having the warranty, but no good if you need your vehicle for work. I suppose the Hyundai may be a better option than any euro van *double cringe*, but from a general manufacturer comparism and not being focused on performance and features, Id be looking at a Hiace especially if buying second hand. Aside from that, regardless of what you but, try to find a low km well maintained vehicle and get it checked, hate to find it has had a dodgy accident repair that will show its ugly head in the future or has a leaking turbo or something, Hughesy should give a warranty anyhow......
