I couldn't believe that Paul

I had a good laugh today when i turned on to the new season of IFISH. After years of using, loving and bragging about how good E-tecs are, Paul is now a devoted suzuki man??
After laughing for a while at the fact that almost every show I've watched of IFISH theres been stuff about how evenrudes are the best motors on the market and now i guess i will have to get used to being told how awsome zukes are.
It might be the fact that I've been home sick all week, and am starting to go a bit insane, but i just find this plain funny.
I wonder if he will start using saltigas next season??
someone had to say it.

Yes, but not unusual. Any
Yes, but not unusual. Any show will push the sponsors product.
Their deal with evinrude probably ran out, and Suzuki offered a better sponsorship package.

if you look in the intro on
if you look in the intro on most shows there is a Suzuki motor in there. Im not shore because even some of the new ones have the e-tecs. Probly like starbug said they offered a better deal and he took it.

free advertisement
Yep it all goes down to whos getting what for free and they are the best that week, ET did it with yammys and evinrude s now
i would only trust a person who actually spends their own hard earned cash on on an item before believing what they preach about it

The show you are talking about is by no means the worst offender. There is another one who I won't mention the name where the guy has practically sold his soul

One particular fishing show
One particular fishing show which is more like a 30 minute ad cracks me up every time the host is on someone elses boat & they put an ill fitting Evinrude outboard cover over the top of other brands hoping no one will notice. Good trick. Must think we are all stupid. I wonder how long before his contact ends & he starts spruiking another brand as "the best".

Misleading the consumer!
These guys go where the dollars are and have no allegiances whatsoever to whatever brand they're trying to ram down our throats. Not just fishing/boating either...Lowndes went from Holden to Ford and then back to Holden again. If Daihatsu entered a V8 into the competition you can bet a bunch of drivers would jump on board if the money was right.
How soon before "Diawa Dork" Dave Butfield switches over to Shimano!?!?!?
Suzuki must've thrown a fair wad of cash at good 'ol Worsterling but it would be a small price to pay if half his viewers jumped to their own negative conclusions about E-tec. The big question now...what happens to "Stormtrooper I" and "Stormtrooper II"? What a twit! But, I suppose it pays the bills and it's why we have fishing shows on at all. You can say what you want about Robson Greene but one thing's for sure...none of this selling/selling/selling on his show.

Great point about Robson
Great point about Robson Greene there, I find the lack of advertising on his show quite appealing myself.
Altho I have to admit, when Malcolm Douglas said something worked I would pay attention.

engel
lifes easy when your sponsored by engel, I like robson too but his show is more like a documentry rather than a weekly fishing show, I reckon Ifish is the best fishing 'show' going around he adds a bit of variety to it some others think people want to watch a whole episode on tagging just sized snapper, yawn

Adventure Bound
im liking Auslobsters view. My favourite show would have to be FWA as they spend most of their time in our beautiful state.
Adventure Bound on chanel 44 is also a good show to watch, they get into some good fish and offer good details on what theyre doin (eg tackle, rigs, bottom bashing a troll spreads) without trying to shove a new reel down ya throat at the same time. but sadly my fav presenter, neil, passed away recently so it wont be as good a show without him.
I dont see the point of Paul getting a new boat with a big ol zuke on the back, because half the time hes out on a charter and the other half hes on a mates boat.

No content
I am startled that a show run in this state could lack content, but it does. There are alot of amateur videos some you see on this website that are alot more enjoyable to watch

had to laugh at hooked he went to a tackle shop the guy said use these lures but change the hooks as there crap
theres just not enough fishing shows that show landbased not every one has a boat or even has friends with a boat so most the time its just pointless
