they are exxy, but if you wait around for a couple of months, Shimano are releasing a copy, called the Spanyid Sniper. Saw pictures of them at AFTA this morning. Should come in a lot cheaper.

the set of trebles are OK

I generally leave them on but mates swap them out for owners.
Some mates pull the rear treble off and run with the front but this is usually in the wood as it makes them more snag resistant, but I've not lost many in the wood. Look at the second photo of the close up Mulla in the forum topic as Nick has pulled his off.
You can also break the lead weight off (at the front treble and again you can see it in the picture) but leave within the lure as this gives it more action.

You can troll them, jig them and cast them; it all works.
Throw some around and you don't have the big tides like we do so they should sink deep.

Thready Buster

Thready Buster is an Australian Copy. Bit cheaper at $18. They are great on barra. Hooks and split rings are a bit light, but if you fish line up to about 30lbs max you should be ok. http://www.barratackle.com.au/lures/soft-body/thready-buster-95-20gm/prod_444.html

Mulloway

Caught plenty of the northern jew on them when targeting barra. They are dynamite. I think snapper would hit them. Be hard to fish out in the open water drifting or a bit deeper as they are so light. They are pretty tough as well so where they are pretty expensive they will last longer.
