Kalbarri Reds
Submitted by Simo_ on Tue, 2018-09-04 15:14
Picked up some good Reds in Kalbarri yesterday, the spot was also loaded with Mulloway. I sent a jig down hoping for a trout and a Red took it.

top s@#t
Great captures on the reds , pity about the crowds by the look of it.
Its a great feeling getting fish on there geographical limit , a rankin off rotto or a shark mackeral off Albany , and the best
one I think was the sailfish in geographe bay a few years back .
Not that reds are unheard of in Barri or even Gero , but a bag out of great size ones ,
in the off season by you and missus is top stuff simo.
Just so others know Simo by fishing in the west coast bio region was allowed 2 each , not 3 like shark bay and above.
And they are counted in the closure so by 15th oct , no go on the reds.

Not bad, only did the easy bits. What I saw looked good, but was too far from a boat ramp for my liking lol.

Good stuff,
Watched a wetliner come in and unload a ute full of ice bags on sunday in Kalbarri, couldnt help myself but ask "didnt need as much ice as you thought fellas?" and the simple answer was " the fish werent biting" which i think we all agree we have those days which makes days like Simo had that much more enjoyable...
Well done!
