i cant see the problem really.... you can only see on there what you can see if you drive down the street anyway..... plus if any theives want to pinch something then they will do it regardless of google.... mongrels that they are

Yeah, heard about it on the ABC news radio station last night. Apparently, the Aust Commissioner for Privacy, (or some such name) had discussions with Google Australia on the whole issue and blanking out number plates was one outcome, but the Com is far from satified. It was reported that Google Aus was far more helpful then the parent company.
There's sure been a HELL of a lot of images taken. What a project!

It'll come in handy if you want to check out houses when you are looking to buy. You can move up and down the street and get an idea. If you have quite a few to look at, could save some time.

i bet another 10 or 15 years and they will be tapping into all the cctv camera's around and we'll have live video to everywhere... now that would be cool..... all they will need then is to give everyone access to the satalite camera's...

i was reading in the paper today about it and the America version they apparently saw a lady exposing herself in a building and a man walking into an adult bookstore, which personally i think is hilarious lol!
i checked out my house and lucky you can only see my car but hanging an ass out of the window would be quite funny, once we find out when it updates it would be easy to do such humourous things lol.

I was spun out
to find a picture of my house here in sunny Tom Price with my other halfs Suzuki SX4 in the driveway , bloody surreal and then on the day the pic was taken, my box trailer was at my sons place and find it on street view , well bugger me, technology is catching up with me even in the bush

doesn't work for me...
when I type in my address , it automatically changes it to some scruffy house around the corner but i discovered if i click on the arrow i can actually drive (?) back up the street and around the corner to see my place. incredible
