Nasty Growth on Boat

A great day on the water yesterday, but on return found this nasty growth on the marlin board.
Took some cleaning , but finally got it all removed. My advise, stay out of the water for the next few months.
Gully and myself in my tub met up with Lucky Tim and Till in Tim's tub at 2roxs ramp yesterday at 7am.
LT/T had been there and done that for the last few days....for Gully and I, the day had come.....and good things come to those that wait!
First drop was in the high 30's. Like a kid about to enter a candy store, Till was geared up, I think before the anchor had hit the dirt.
Anyway, dropped down, vis was looking good. Half way down I see the first cray in Till's loop and quickly released. I was still decending. At about 32m I see Till loop another and again quickly release...hmm lots girls in that nest. I'll leave him to them. I dropped into the hole next door. The welcome mat was out - feelers everywhere. A quick scan - lots of berried girls and a few boys walking forward to says hello to my loop.
There where that many berried up crays I decided to head south over to the next lump. Not as many holes but the two that I did find again where full of girls. I managed to find a nice big white amongst it though.
So with 3 good crays, it was time to head up for me to avoid deco. Hmmm, slowest start to a season for a long time.
Gully had a few big boys from the dive aswell, so smiles all round.
Another deep dive on an unknown patch produced a few more crays and then it was time to head into the shallow stuff for a third dive. I filmed on the last deep dive and the shallow, but still had the loop just in case. A few good crays in the shallow stuff and hopefully some great footage of skippy feeding completed a great long day of diving.
Cheers Pete

There were some nice fish on
There were some nice fish on the second deep lump, the good sized blue snapper keeping an eye on me. We really missed the money on the shallow dives though.
It was a fun day out and a nice change to get up to two rocks for a dive!

seen that angle on a few of
seen that angle on a few of your photos over the years.
And just for a size reference on those big boys, Pete's dive platform can fit a deck chair if I remember correctly so they are some decent crays. I had the legs off of 4 last night for tea and between Hayley and myself we couldn't finish them all.

Jamie, Julie asked if you
Jamie,
Julie asked if you were permanantly narc'ed after witnessing your Navy SEAL routine when we picked you up after your shallow dive on Tuesday.
I reckon you're gonna start growing feelers soon and whispering to crays when we're not looking.

Geez I was having fantasies
Geez I was having fantasies about copping a tow yesterday, Tim and I were out the back up at two rocks and it was a real slog back to the boat.
Another cray salad last nite, a cray to the very nice person that loaned me the tanks yesterday, then it could be cray curry tonite!

Good decent bag of crays
I'm a bit worried about the beers getting warm though.

Warm beer - does not exist
Warm beer - does not exist at my place!
Video - I need to check. Lots of stock video. I will get around to putting something together - editing takes time and I don't like putting up just snippets.
Passed on cray last night. After boat cleaning a warm spa and a few ales - it was snooze time.
Cheers Pete

That's an awesome haul of crays, well done! Jeez, diving in 30m of water, not for me, visions of jaws come to mind! I'm quite content with the tub between me and the men in grey suits!
