Nautical Nick-Nacks

Hey all FW Crew.

I'm putting this out there under directions from Mrs Browndog. We are doing up a house, and she wants any old nautical/fishing/marine stuff for decoration, inside and out. So if you have any: anchors, cray pots, crab nets, prawn nets, nets, floats, rope, lighthouses, oars, portholes, ships bells, ships wheels, plastic lobsters, plastic crabs, plastic fish, starfish, divers helmets, telescopes, periscopes, lanterns, charts, sextants, fishing gear or whatever, drop me a line.

This won't make you rich, but may make Mrs Browndog happy, which may make me happy. Karma may go round, and your missus may make you happy? I hope she does.

Thanks in advance

BD.

Backyard

Sun, 2013-11-24 20:17

Thanks Catchalittle, backyard isn't quite big enough for a decorative rescue boat (although it gives me an idea. "Honey, I just picked up this Noosa Cat for decoration, what do you think?")

Yeah, beachcombing after storms is good, we have picked up some nice driftwood & stuff, loads of shells etc.

Cheers,

BD.

Nah

Nah, definitely not a batchelor pad (although has been a few good boys weekends down there!) has got to have her approval on all decorations. If any one has an inflateable 38DD mermaid I'll have to try real hard to get it approved! On second thoughts, not sure I want anything inflateable and second hand. Eww.

Love Nest

Love Nest donation gracefully accepted! PM sent, thanks Quadfisher.

I'm sure if you ask her, I was defeated a long time ago. If you ask me, I'm the one who tells her who is the boss, blah blah blah.

Please, no more posts questioning my masculinity, she might find them and then repost all over facebook or some other crap.

Thanks QF

How's it look?

Sun, 2013-12-01 17:01

Thanks Quadfisher, here's how it looks now.

A small retaining wall, some dodgy reticulation work, couple of plants, two recycled craypots and a trailer or limestone rocks, and it's getting there. A few more decorations and will look great. The kids have a fair old shell collection that will get scattered around as well.

Thanks again for the pots.

Yard

No problems pale ale, will do. It's still a work in progress, but got that bit done that Mrs Browndog wanted finished "before Christmas".

Next is paving down the side, outdoor hot & cold shower & perhaps even a small shed for storage of beach & fishing gear. I've got a few ideas.

Cheers,

BD
