New Company Name
Howdy,
I've spent countless weeks trying to come up with a new company name but have had no luck, I'm chucking it out to the FW community to see if anything pops up that I will be able to use for years to come
Some details:
-I just finished my carpentry and joinery apprenticeship and am in the commercial field. (Shop fitting)
- I am striving towards building this company over the future,
- even though I'm a qualified carpenter I want to be able to offer/provide other trades under my business,
- I have come to the conclusion that I want the name to be "something" CONSTRUCTION, as 'construction' what I will be providing, not just carpentry.
So if anybody has any ideas please throw them out there.
Who knows in years to come I could have made the big league and you had apart of it :)

In my opinion your business
In my opinion your business name should say something about your business... Include the word Construction and add one of these words. Names like Prime, Professional, Gold, Platinium, use a name that sets you apart.
Hmmm... Having said that, maybe its really not that important ..just look at Nike ! Coke ! Apple !... Who would have thought they were a good idea !!!
Imagine sitting around the BBQ telling your friends youre starting a food business and going to call it Mc Donalds ...Do you think many would say .."wow thats a great idea " haha ... and Herring Constructions !!! ... dont even go there !!! Choose what you think is a good idea and go with that.

try the word reliable
the reason i through that in is you should try and get some one to just turn up to give a quote it took 9 days before a company decided it was worth while to come to the job and quote, words like reliable effient dependable all have a good ring to them, but what ever you call the company actions will count not empty words

Choosing a business name is
Choosing a business name is something you want to get right the first time. While corny might seem to be a good idea at the time you might find your company outgrows it and has to change to something more professional.
If your looking to expand later maybe something like Facet Construction? Classy but not closed off in any particular area.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

Mick, one of my mates and his partner, Dick, formed a building company a while back under the name of "Mick and Dick Erections
ït was something different but also a name that you remembered which is what you want.

i could go on forever
ive run a carpentry and site welding bussiness for 10 odd years and find most work comes from other work you do. big builders dont go looking online for new supplies and trades the they go looking for them or supervisors take the trades when they move jobs. every job you do is like a tail it follows you around just try to keep it good perth is a small town
in renovation type residential people go looking if they dont have friends in trades or been refered from friends experiances i find these people to be the worst type of customer. most want it done very cheap or dont know whats involved in the actual job and some get ripped off due to dodgy trades
getting the bottom line final answer from a bunch of blokes that use false names and put smiley faces at the end of paragraphs is not the best place in the world to get the information you seek.
