Stella SW4000PG... if not a
Stella SW4000PG... if not, a Daiwa Ryoga
Hyper Custom's are alright... seen a few with bearing issues even after not much use... and Daiwa service is pretty poor
My choice would be a Stella SW4000PG running The Saltiga 8 braid Pe2 (35lb) with an Extreme Angler Custom Rod pe2

Stella 4000 all the way.
Stella 4000 all the way. Sustain 4000 if you dont want to spend as much, still a very solid reel and what ive been using without fail for several years now.

If your looking to spend that
If your looking to spend that sought of money the best reel for the job would be a saltiga 4000, they will hold an ample amount of PE3 and can push out 10kgs of drag. Now with the mag seal you don't have to worry about water getting into the body of the reel and destroying bearings ect.
A hyper 4000 would be an ok option but they are a fair bit lighter then the saltiga and you will notice wear and tear alot quicker

i dont know about the saltiga, but i have the certate with the "mag seal"
after one trip, i forgot to wash down it was fugged and had to get the bearings replaced by daiwa...
in defence of the daiwa i did have a centre console and it did get a bit of spray....but so did my twinpower and its still good and its over 2 years old

Stella Yeh
But man I just recently bought a Stradic CI4 4000 and I use this in preference to my Stella 8000SW. That thing overpowers fish and blows some of the fun away. As for the Stradic, for a light reel it has some balls. Also surprised nobody mentioned a Twinpower 4000FC.

I use a Stella 4000PG.
I use a Stella 4000PG. Excellent reel, very light, same size as a Daiwa 3000. Its a PE2 reel, Stella 5000 or Saltiga 4000 would be the go for PE3.
Have a Certate as well, Certate is more delicate, prefered for light stuff, but does not have the solid bombproof feel of the Stella.
For PE2, the Stella 4000SW-PG would be my choice, as it is properly water proof, very light but strong enough to jig with all day. For PE3, I would sway toard the Saltiga 4000 or Stella 6000SW-PG.
Plenty of cheaper options still pretty good, but cheaper generally means not as good. If you have the $, get the best, and then look after it.

it's been fantastic as was the stradic before , except for the too small a gap between line roller and bail arm.

If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

I'd go the saltiga 4000,
I'd go the saltiga 4000, those reels are solid. As for shimano, been waiting close to 3 months for a part for my Stella. Not exactly great customer service but still a good reel.
