Had a fresh made double snell rig on yesterday morning and on the second drop lost both!

At least the conditions were epic and came home with fish.

Easter weekend I hit up

Thu, 2013-04-18 22:02

Easter weekend I hit up Direction Bank

Within 10 minutes I had a great bite and something heavyish on, thought we were into a fantastic day fishing.

Moments the colour shows that silver/green/blue with the box shaped head, and the sinking feeling in my stomach.

Rebaited, thanking my luck I didn't have the hook bitten off or in half. 20 minutes later im onto something better.
Up comes an even bigger NW Blowie.

Didnt have much luck and we headed further out.

With not much on the bite, after lunch something had a crack at my soft bait on the top of the paster noster and took chunks out of it.
Rebaited and put down, I found out what was chewing it, a small NW Blowie

What I call horrible luck, but heck, great days to be out on the water and still beats fishing on the shore
