in a word no
if one comes around and starts to look the boat over stop berlying for a while. the shark is only doing what you do when you see something new on the patch. you go in close to sus it out does it smell good no does it taste good (i'll give the prop a bite to taste it) no not much point in staying around this object i'll move on now that my curiousity has been satisfied just don't try sinking a gaff in it or something stupid like feeding it

killer whales also!
was out from hillarys friday arvo and am 90% sure that the whales that were circling my boat , going under , and cruising under the leg were killer whales! got to the point where we could have touched them and it was decided that it was time to split. big flashes of white about 1.5m under the boat all around us, just had to get a few more whoppa K.G.'s
dont think I want to see that again!!
EDIT 90% wrong lol , no big fins like they have. oh well still a good experience!

yep, no sharks, and no
yep, no sharks, and no snapper:( Had the whales at our boats ( met a bloke at the ramp also headin to same spot) when drifting in 20 m for whiting, one swam into my line (before we knew they were around) and spooled me! Got excited tho with reel smokin, didnt evrn have time to start outboard. Seen the flashes of white too when the whales were under the boat, I think their underside is white. They were just inquisitive, I stil held on to the rocket launcher when they were around tho. Funny to hear about outboard attack after my concern last night, was alot more comfortable anchored up next to someone else tho. Id love to start the motor and engage a gear when a shark was havin a chew
