Richter Plugs - How to?

Hi All,

Just a quick question - want to try these plugs; got couple today, 1 and 2 Oz n White and White&Red ....

Any tips on how you work them out? Fast, Twitch, let it sink once casted ... etc

Will use them now for tailor from beach, but later will try them on Dollies and Tuna out deep.

Any thoughts would be appreciated

Thanks

Hesh

depends what depth your fishing but i assume they're pretty vesitile.

for tailor u can rip them along the surface, they have a bit of natural action so you don't have to do to much.

they do sink so you can work them sub-surface aswell. Not a clue on what would work for dollies

Plugs are pieces of crap, look crap, made crap, smell crap, swim crap........but catch fish.

My best GT was with a poxy plug.....I was too tired to cast proper 150g stick baits so flopped out the piece of plastic poo, 2 fish in 2 casts.

I still hate em, but always have a few with me.......

I agree, plastic poo, but if the fish are on, they hitem, better quality lures work better when the fish arent as willing. Good to have a few and use them on a hot bite, beats loosin a 20 buck lure

$20? And the rest!

Didn't Lucky Tim get the best fish of their trip in Fiji on one? Everyone was too scared to throw their expensive shiny things into the nasty washes, but Lucky Tim, and a big Richter Plug were happy to oblige, and pulled a good GT out.

I was refering to tailor fishing really, even 20 bucks doesnt buy you the top japo lures locally, I wouldnt know, I havent spent more than 10 bucks on a lure I reckon! Up north, you could cut a broomstick up and prob catch anything on it

I have done it in broome had a look one evening @ the jetty plenty of action happening ran back to grab my gear only too find I had a rod and reel but no lures... Cut about 150 off the end of my rigid shovels handle (looked like a big dumbbell popper.. A plumber will know what I mean) had a couple super long tek screws on hand drilled it thru .. Used a 13 mm drill bit too give it a concave head.. Threaded some wire leader thru clipped on the biggest  treble I had.. Painted it pink and blue with ground marking paint.. Chucked it out and 10 mins later had a nice queenie.. Still got it at home somewhere hahaha ...
