rod ideas for offshore on snapper and the likes

i am looking at a generation black supercasta and wondering has anyone used it if so, is the but long enough to bring up a fish?
any other rod ideas for casting and light jigging would be most appreciated under 300$

New saltist hyper rods is
New saltist hyper rods is the replacement for daiwa monster mesh. Quite a few models. Can get the price down to 255 locally . Looks like bomber proof blanks, should/will be able to take some roughish handling like the old monster mesh

great rod that can cast a mile
i got mine matched to the new model saragosa 5000sw and I am really happy with it
i reckon it will make a dynamite local beaches tailor lure rod and reel combo too
