Rottnest

Can anyone tell me when do you have to pay the fee for Rotto? meaning at what point should you have to pay? as an example if I were to take my boat to the west end and fish for the day then go into one of the bays and anchor up for the night so i could go out and fish the FADS in the morning and return home.... all with out connecting to a mooring or landing on the shore, just staying on the boat.

Reserve

The marine reserve actually extends into the water. My understanding is you are technically required to pay the fee even if you dont set foot on the land as you are in the reserve.

If you were anchored in a bay I would definately think the rangers would ping you.

Can look for more info here http://www.rottnestisland.com/boating-information/

Yea after doing a bit more reading I think Tims on the money with once you have crossed the boundry of the marine park (aprox 1nm) then you must pay the fee imediatly if not before you get there... I think there is a grace period of 15 mins if you are only going in there for fuel... the boundry is marked on the marine charts and varies around the island.

thanks for the replies..

Winta....
