Saturday Sound Session

Hi All
Got a call from a mate late saturday arvo asking if i wanted to head out into the sound for a snaaper session.
He didnt have to ask me twice! Started fishing about 5.30pm until around 9pm.
We had a good time with soft plastics and squid, mulies and scalies for bait. Fished in 6 to 7 meters.
We caught 12 Pink snapper ranging from 20cm to 50cm, 1 bream, 4 pike, 4 rays, 2 flathead, 4 tailor and a baby sambo.
Was a great arvo/evening fish with hardley any wind. Kept one snapper and 2 flathead, rest were released succesfully.

Nice one Rat. Glad to hear u got some pinks mate. How's that ankle? At least the flat seas of the sound would have been kind to your rehab..lol.
I managed a few dhu's out in 30's...was pretty stoked to finally get some fish in my tub.

A few dhus would make anyone smile.
Ankle on the mend but still sore. Actully had to fight a ray around the anchor rope and ended up falling over up front on the boat as my ankle couldnt cope! Nearly ended up in the drink. Lots of small snapper round but in between some nice size ones. Lost 3 monsters, i was kicking myself LOL
Fishing isn't a matter of life or death, it's much more serious than that!!!
