Scarborough sea snake

Mate of mine is a beach inspector, sent me a pic of this yesterday - was on the beach at Scarborough - never seen one that colour before and only ever seen one in Perth which was years ago

Put money it is a python or file snake
definitely not a sea snake .....head wrong shape !

Checked it out with the SnakeMan Brian Bush who responded as follows:
Yellow-bellied sea snake - a true pelagic species. Potentially dangerously venomous, but no deaths.

After storm
They where quiet common on the beaches some years back after a storm had passed through.
As Mulie says yellow bellied sea snake.
