Swan Crabs - crackers

Recently I caught up with Ryan Thipthorp for a late arvo Swan River crab session on his boat. The weather was hard core in the morning including forecasts of thunder storms. The rain came down very heavy at times so more drinking time untill it eased. Got on the water at lunch time and made our way up the river to one of Ryans crabbing spots. It was a very slow start as the high tide was later that night but we expected that. When the crabs fired they were of a decent size which Ryan promised and were more abundant as the arvo came around. Most of the crabs were between 145-170mm and we caught more than enough for a feed and no need to take our limit. Fresh crabs are the best and we had a feed that night and sweet tasting. We ended up with these big ones in the photo and a few extra that couldnt fit in the picture. Thanks to Ryan for an enjoyable day.

Nice work Frank. Good post. Missing WA more and more each day and this post didn't help. Cheers for that . I'd be hitting up my favourite swan river dive spot and wrestling a couple of those bad boys into my catch bag.
