Theft

Feral, ya gonna love this...Told you my my boat was cursed!

Loaded up on Saturday for the good weather and then took the wife out, got home bout 12'ish and put the rods and reels in the cab so i could have a quick start.

How many fisho's do this??

Woke up bout four hours later, threw in the bait...GONE!

3 Shimano Torsa reels fully loaded

3 Shimano Jig Rex rods

1 Shimano Stella 10'000

1 Shimano T-Curve rod

At least they left my squid rod so I could feed the family for Christmas...How's that for a sense of humour?

Anyway, sob, sob, If anyone gets offered any cheap gear please let me know so I can float test them out behind Rotto

Dont hold out too much hope though.

To all the Fishwrecked fraternity...Merry Christmas, IT's been an enjoyable year reading you're posts.

Great fishing and keep you're opinions coming- they match what most fishermen think and feel about OUR RESOURCE!! albeit shared.

Feral...GET A JOB!!!!! Any man who spends as much time in front of the screen as you and IS'NT looking at porn has some serious issues.

To all the rest,See you on the water...WAZ

Know the feeling mate,Only

Know the feeling mate,

Only moved here early this year and it was 4 months before the container arrived.

In all that time I was gagging for my gear to come over so ~I could get out fishing.

The big day arrives and all the boxes are sorted into the lock up.

24 hrs I had them before some ass stole the lot.

3x Shimano power aero 10000s Baitrunners

1x Shimano Long Cast Baitrunner

2x Shimano 6010 GTS Baitrunners

2x Shimano 4000 Baitrunners

Life jackets, 1000s of metere of spooled braid and flourocarbon, fishing coats etc etc

The list was endless.

THe best thing is it was all UK market gear and you cannot buy it here, I also travel a lot to popular fishing places and trust me if I see any of it, they will not be able to walk home unless a name and address is forthcoming.

Just slowly starting to get some gear together now.

The annoying thing is

Tue, 2008-12-16 05:27

the gear would have been stolen by an opportunist, not a fisho so it will end up being sold in the local rag or hocked for 10% of it's real value. Unfortunately there a lot of "honest" people who won't question why a bargain is such a bargain - as bad as the dickheads who stole the gear in the first place.

That sux, bloody degenerates.

I leave my sounder, rods, tackle boxes waiting at my front door.

I wont even load them into my car the night before even though it is alarmed.

also stolen from this week!

Cray pots,

Sunday morning i caught a boat pulling one of my pots red handed, in choppy conditions i chased him off (his bigger boat handled the rough weather alot better than mine so i had to let him go) went back and repulled the pot finding only undersize crays left in.

Today I go out to check my pots, both gone! They were plotted on gps and i spent 4 - 5 hours out there today zig zagging the 3 mile reef incase they had somehow miraculously moved.

Anyway if anyone sees some 2 week old wooden pots with my licence number painted on them KF0980, please let me know.

Time to get my dive ticket, more than one way to skin a cat hmmm or cray!

Theft Converters?

Wed, 2008-12-17 09:19

Check the local cash converters or any other pawn shop they may get lazy and just flogg it to them. I think you should try out release wieghts on them... I always leave my gear in the boat when I launch but I fgure thats somewhat safe like an unwritten rule but u never know these days :(
