still read the waypoints just fine!!, what's it worth to ya johnno??

only jokes mate but know how ya feel, went out friday morning early, anchore berley and sat back for a few hours, turned the sounder off for a bit because the volt  level was getting low, then it wouldnt load up again, oh no now i need a new sounder/GPS.

Rang around and got hold of Navman, can they be repaired he said!! you dont need to it just needs to be reset, so i dont need a new sounder but lost 2 1/2  years worth of waypoints!!.

back up your marks by bringing up the screen with waypoint details listed, and then taking a photo of the screen.

Least youd then have something to fall back on

reading bits and pieces about this before on this forum, i dont know if i acted to quickly over the phone with the Navman rep but i couldnt get anything up on  the screen at all except for the navman symbol, it wouldnt got any further. He basically said your lost all your points now anyway and the way forward to keep  the unit was a total reset.

Point noted Rob i will keep an updated shot from now on!!

Unlike Johnno ive only had the boat 2 1/2 yaers and limited success locally so far so starting again didnt fase me too much, it means setting the sounder up  again and using my limited memory for the depth and area of a few spots that did produce, go there and start looking around.

Cray season will come around again!!
