I know an old timer
who swears those red skinned wrasse are the best Dhu bait there is - he very rarely comes home without good Dhus when he's using them.

Hmm king wrasse good eatin
Hmm king wrasse good eatin aye? Hey Uncle, I found constant trips to the same skippy lump went with a decline in the appetite for tge same plastic. They always feed hard on the burley but get emart about the same sp I use, first drop on a different colour or style of placcy and wamo, always getum on tiny circle hooks with bit of squid tho. Kids dont care what they catch, my boy gota monsta wrasse, really gave him ( and me) some stick. You obviously came home with your outboard yeh.

kid fishin
Nice work. Love taking the kids out too. This year is the inaugral Fathers day classic here. Trophy for Prettiest fish, biggest fish, most fish caught, most species caught and smallest fish caught. The hard part will be managing the awards evenly across all 5 kids. Fathers day is fishing day without question. My kids are 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 at the moment and all happy to go fishing now. Taken a few years of steady exposure and they all enjoy different aspects of it. Youngest daughter will fish off the jetty for hours, hates the dinghy but tolerates half cabin. Son likes boating and fishing, is king berley boy and falls asleep anywhere. Eldest will have a crck at anything, keeps fishing even when spewing from seasickness. Middle daughter just wants to go fast and do jumps and stuff but will happily hang out all day. First boat trip for her when she was two sat on my knee in a runabout. After five minutes of zooming around, slowed down and asked her if she was ok and she looked at me out of the folds of her lifejacket and said 'Faster?' Bit of a hoon that one.
Gotta have somewhere for them to get out of wind and sun, dvd power equals another hour and a half of wet lines, LOTS of snacks and good conditions to start with.
PBs include 19cm blowie caught on a chip at ciccerellos Mandurah, 42cm sea sweep and prettiest fish is still a western blue devil.
See ya out there Kiddies!!!! Love it!!!
