WINNING: Today’s Catch - Big shout out to mjohns!
I just wanted to shout out a big thanks to Mick (mjohns) for letting me tag along today on his squidding expedition. It wasn’t meant to be the greatest conditions so we originally decided to not head out too far and stick to squidding. We successfully managed to score a few squid and then not long later there was a change in weather conditions so we decided to head out further for some bottom bouncing. With the amazing view watching whales circling us for a little while we managed to score a pinky and a few Dhuies before calling it a day.
Not only did Mick make time to take me out on the water, but he also taught me to successfully fillet my fish and clean out my squid. Loved every second. Thanks again Mick you are a champ!

Yeah it was very exciting. I don’t normally get out fishing from a boat ever unless i pay for a charter which i can’t do that often seeing they are expensive. Did 2 chaarters up in coral bay a couple of months ago, but they added up quick lol

try dusting in flour and quick fry up in a pan with a bit less butter but more garlic thats been cooked off a bit before you add the squid. no more than a ninuit in a hot pan will be spot on.
in saying that i could go a feed right now doh
