Tyrnos 50 would be the best choice.

Just got one from the US for a really good price. Get the 2-speed so you can smoke those beauties towards the boat.

Mike try a Sara 18000 with a Monster mesh to match

Tue, 2010-12-07 15:49

You will not regret it. I (and my partner) now have Monsters to match saragosa 8000 for her, sara 14000 for me, and one for a saltist Black and blue twin speed LD.

I would like anything to try and snap the matched Monster Mesh.

With a sara 18000 a MM rated to PE 6-8 or even 10 would be great, just dont use it for GT popping as Pilbarra Brad will tell you a tale.

I asked dad for a squidding

Mon, 2010-12-06 22:14

I asked dad for a squidding badge but he told me it was too expensive. Real shame as those squidding badges cause your weight to balance out more effectively from the front end which results in a higher amount of weight behind the pendulum motion of your cast and in turn you can belt that squid jig that centimetre further. What a shame...

Well, I got a Ocea Jigger NR

Tue, 2010-12-07 12:31

Well, I got a Ocea Jigger NR 1500P for Chrissy early......then after a pretty scary episode with a huge squid on my bream outfit, where I almost got spooled (well, it took 2 inches of line in a single searing surge) I upgraded my egi outfit with a Stella SW20,000 after reading the squidding thread.......missus does not know how much the Stella cost but her distainful look indicates she has some idea..............................spose the SW20,000 may come in useful for other stuff as well?

Only the usual

Tue, 2010-12-07 16:01

I usually end up with a $1000 Voucher to Adventure Sport, but also will end up with a cool new tropicool esky, boat cover to keep the flies off the boat because it always smells of fish, and because i am always bying fishing gear for the fiance with my Xmas voucher she has promised a STELLA SW10000, on the condition that I look after the reels better than I do at the moment.

Funny after the 3.5m bronzy last weekend that the saragosa 14000 sounds a bit squeky!!! Nice 40min battle that tested the Shimano Tcurve lacunas jig rod rather than the sara, apart from line capacity. The squek is the beautiful drag they have, which is now well and truely smoothed out.
