Shark bay Denham
Submitted by Damage82 on Tue, 2024-09-10 20:45Hi all,
I am heading up to Shark Bay Denham end of April beginning of May 2025. Taking the family up. Is there any good spots to take my kids fishing that is easily accessable? I have a 4wd but no boat (Unless I win lotto between now and then).
Also is there any other spots where I might be able to get to which might not be family friendly as I can tell they wont want to go as much as I do?
Did a search on fishing charters. Saw one in old posts for unreal charters but can't find anything about them now adays? have they shut up shop?
Thanks in advance.

Cape york Trip 2025
Submitted by brown364 on Thu, 2024-09-05 21:56Gday Guys, we are planning a trip up to cape york next year and trying to decide the best way for us to logist it. Does anyone have any info or recommendations on vehicle hire, 4x4 with rooftopper with 4 bodies on board.? I have found some although unsure of additional cost etc to be aware of. Trying to avoid the drive over only due to the lost time getting there and back. I am also aware of it being about the journey not the destination but driving over will basically put another 2 weeks onto the trip.
Another option is transport for my rig over there to cairns, fly over and drive up from there. Any info/experiances/guidance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! Leon

Puerto Vallarta fishing adventures in September 2024
Submitted by Capt.PeterVines on Wed, 2024-09-04 00:54Puerto Vallarta is more than just a sun-soaked beach destination. It’s a world-renowned angler’s paradise, where the warm waters teem with a diverse array of marine life like marlin,roosterfish,tuna,mahi-mahi and much more. With its prime location on Mexico’s Gold Coast, this coastal city is a hotspot for both inshore and offshore fishing adventures. Let’s take a look and what’s going on in September 2024 this month.
The Bay: For a more relaxed yet rewarding experience, the bay offers excellent fishing opportunities. Half-day trips on a 28-foot super panga can yield a variety of catches, from snappers and grouper to amberjack and mahi-mahi. It’s a perfect choice for families or those new to fishing. This trip can be customized to include snorkeling, hidden beaches and sightseeing on request. Perfect for a family of four.

Relocating battery to bow
Submitted by GotOurFish on Sun, 2024-09-01 20:44Days off are coming up and due to the wind thought o would do a few things to the boat. Going to fabricate a ladder for the rear step and a sounder box, I have been contemplating moving the battery to the front storage area. Will help with weight and free up the rear or the boat, just wondering if anyone has their battery In the bow? Boat is a 429 rampage (2012 pressed hull style)

Crabbing in the Sound
Submitted by Bradmac73 on Wed, 2024-08-21 12:41
Cockburn sound is open for crabbing this summer after DPIRDs "updated scientific assessment"
So they have finally taken some notice of what those who know and understand the area have been saying for years, or was it just a timing thing? Maybe they could look at "updating their science" used to determine the demersal ban as well.
ANyway, good news for those who want to chase a few blues this summer.

UK/Portugal fishing
Submitted by davewillo on Tue, 2024-08-13 11:06Hi all
Heading to the UK and Portugal with my wife in October and as always, keen to fish somewhere different. Anyone have any suggestions of places or styles to look into? I'm thinking fly fishing for trout but open to other ideas too. We don't have any hard plans yet of where we're going so can be flexible to a degree.
Cheers
