Cracked glass on Quintrex 660
Submitted by BigClarky on Fri, 2012-03-30 09:08Hi Fellas,
I have a Quintrex 660 offshore, and a few fishing trips ago a mate of mine slipped and landed on the front LH section of the windscreen and cracked it.
The windscreen is (2) piece, and curved. Anyone know where to buy and get these fitted? would all boat stock them?
Any thoughts would be appreciated. (I will upload a photo tonight)
Thanks
Shaun

Help!! WTB or borrow: Navman antenna.
Submitted by silly on Thu, 2012-03-29 14:02I'm chasing an aftermarket antenna for my Navman 5500 tracker?
The original one is playing up and I ordered a aftermarket eBay job 2 weeks ago and still hasn't come.
Will be heading up to exmouth tomorow night so need it ASAP!
Hoping it gets delivered tomorow... But if not was wondering if anyone would be willing to either sell or lend theirs? Will compensate in the form or cash/beer or tackle ;)

drink or not 2 drink ,that is the question.
Submitted by quadfisher on Thu, 2012-03-29 12:02After seeing various posts on here around fishing , boatn , drinking, 4wd etc
just wondering what peoples thoughts are.
Are aussies still a bunch of drunkn yobbos or have we changed?
I love a beer or 3 at the end of a days shore fishing, but have never seen the sense
all day boatn and drinking sessions, due to the conflict on safety.
When it hits the fan , which happens when you least expect it, are drunk skippers and deckies
any good?
Back when I had a boat any deckies that started with" I will bring the cartons"
usually never came out. Im not a wowser or a saint by any stretch , but whos with me?
photos at 2 rocks , and yes I had brew to top off a great day.

Swap dhuie spot for sambo spot????
Submitted by AaronC on Wed, 2012-03-28 15:51
Had my boat now for a 4 months now and cant find a GPS spot to catch a sambo!!!
I know this might sound crazy but i am willing to trade some of my dhuie/baldie GPS co-ordinates for some sambo co-ordinates.
I want to take out some friends to have a bit of fun on light gear and havent hooked into one sambo in 4 months. got some great dhuies/baldies though.
I mainly fish off ocean reef mindarie and two rocks so this would be where my spots are located. Dont care where yours are i will go anywhere to catch some.
Obviously i cant guarantee any fish on my spots but i gather knowone can guarantee me sambos either.
PM me if you would like to do a trade.
Cheers

Adelaide Fishing Charters
Submitted by Uluabuster on Wed, 2012-03-28 08:56Hi All,
Anyone from SA in this forum ? I am off to Adelaide next week for Easter break and was hoping to get on a charter.
Can someone recommend a charter that encourage the use of soft plastic or other lures ? Pardon my ignorance, but I have the impression SA hold some impressive number of YTK & Sambos if not XOS reds.
If anyone have had any great experience with any of the charters please recommend.
Thanks

Airmar P66 to Lowrance HDS 10
Submitted by Braxi on Wed, 2012-03-28 00:32Hi, I have purchased a Lowrance HDS 10 and already have an Airmar P66 Thru Hull Transducer in the hull but its hooked up to a Horizon sounder/plotter. Can I cut the Horizon plug off and put on a Lowrance compatible plug to fit the HDS unit? I have a 1KW Thru hull transducer but dont have the confidence just yet to cut a hole in the bottom of my boat. Any recommendations? Some have said that the 600w transducer is more than enough for local fishing around karratha as we dont fish much over 40-50m. Cheers.
