hi all, was just wondering if anyone new where I can get an esky seat.  I have a 80l esky and wanna get a seat cushion so I can fit or glue on to my esky so my boys can sit in a bit of comfort. Cheers in advance Don

 Caught this in 10m, and I got a figer spiked very lightly on its dorsal fin which hurts and swelled up the hand for a couple hours - why is that?

So with all the talk last week of the weather being great friday, we headed out to Two Rocks to see what we could find (with Sea kem), we landed in a spot that Sea kem knew for about half hour, watched the Apprentice pull up nice Baldy - by then my deckie was spitting the chewy and wanted to head out deeper, so to stop my ears ringing off we went - dont worry Sea kem my turn to take out next time.

We studied some countours on the way out and landed on a great patch around 35 km out, with plenty of fish on the sounder we were very excited to get down there, it seemed they were pretty finicky with plenty of interest but nothing taking a good wack at our baits, about half hour later the Decky AKA the jig king gets onto a nice 6kg Dhuie on a jig (which i told him to get) - Stoked finally had a decent fish on board.

Another half hour later the decky spots this massive bust up on the surface - shit was going everwhere, in amongst the Chaos was sharks, birds, snapper, macks rekon we seen a couple of YTK in there aswell, PUMPED was the word - you know that scared feeling you get when you throw a lure in amongst a pack and everything just jumps out of the water - its an amazing feeling to think FK me what am i going to hook onto, decky loads up a mulie and hits the spot WACK!! its on zzzzzzzzzzz, funniest thing, he lights a ciggy, gets his beer and ses " il just wait for this thing to settle down a bit" haha classic, fkn great - i had my jig on still so that went out, after about 5 casts of lobbing it right in the middel WACK zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz im on - this show went on for about an hour, ive never seen a show like it, was immense fun lading Macks, hooked up about 3 Shark Macks around 10kg, and a very nice Spaniard which would have weighed 15 - 20kg, we had the inlaw onboard aswell and he landed his first nice snapper of a bout 4kg so a double bonus - we lost one freight train that i think is still heading off to the horizon, but that was to be expected.

after all that we were buggered - sat back had a few beers and decided to go to a little spot we knew closer in. lobbed out  a floater WACK!! didnt even have time to set my drag, the mulie must have slapped him in the side of the face - first thoughts ahh he were go the token Sambo that we hadnt seen all day, mmmm hang on this feels a bit differnet, was head bangen like someone at an ACDC concert - anyway after a cracking fight in shallow water i pull it closer in FKN YESSSSSSS A MASS SNAPPER (for me anyway) pulled him onboard absolutley stoked, my first monster weighed over 10kg (thats all my scales went to). in amongst my excitement we landed 2 more nice snapper in about 10 minutes and also got the token Sambo and that was us done for the day - had no more room in the esky for the fish, tails were hanging out everwhere.

all in all what a great day and just to top it off the drive home was awesome, and a nice haul of fish.

 In the market for a lighter placcy rod to suit my c14 4000 with 15lb line. I want it to be about 7 ft maybe bit longer in length, to flick light placcies in 10 to 20 metres of water and to be able to cast at least 40 gram stickbaits like bullchops etc to the reefs for tailor, small kings etc. Not mega expensve either.

I left my sinker bucket at home and only realised 20 mile off shore. I was tempted to find another boat around me and ask them if I could buy some but didn't want them thinking I was ping there spots. Would of you cared or helped us out or would you tell me to get lost? I would of help someone out if they come up to me but was not sure what anyone else would of thought?

I'm chasing some advice if this is normal for boat dealers over here in WA. 

As I am nearing the purchase of my new boat I called up the dealer and asked them to give a boat (a new boat) a test run. They said this was fine, but due to the fact that they would have to get a new motor for the new boat they would require me to pay a deposit ($100) and sign a notice of intention to purchase subject to sea trial before it would go ahead.

I'm just wondering if this is normal practice over here ( it is a large dealer) or is it just a one off occurance.

hey guys I am just wondering because I have a lot of bait in my freezer from about 2 months ago because I never get to use it sometimes. When your fishing for dhuies and stuff does it always have to be fresh bait and does bait go off after a while and loose its scent ? if so could you guys please give me your opinion's.

Popped into Oceanside today great bargains, huge amount of excellent priced goodies, staff as helpful as ever, do your self a favour and stock up, prices better than bluewaters re location sale and tons of good helpful advice from people who have real fishing experience. A most pleasurable experience , wish I could spend more but the wife has other ideas. Thanks guys.

Hi all, Earlier today I saw the post on Facebook saying how much Paul and his family loved a small Jetty over east and I thought if he liked that he will love the Busso Jetty. I sent him a PM saying that he should come over and experience the Jetty. I was amazed when he replied within 3 hours that he would speak to his producers about it. I know there will be a lot of you that think this was a bad move and any more fisherman at the Jetty will be really bad but it should be showed off for its amazing sites, photography and especially the observatory so before you get really upset it would be presenting all of the other features more than anything and not the fishing aspect as much.  Just wondering if any of you fellow members have ever dropped your rod and reel overboard. I only ask because today i almost lost me z40 and samaki jig stick to davey jones. I had the butt of the rod tangled in my jacket and got a big strike due to the force and being tangled in my jacket with possibly a bit of uncoordination thrown in the mix the rod pulled straight out of my hands and into the drink. Fortunately i was able to dive over the side of the boat submerging half my body and catch the rod about a metre or more down saving me combo. Bought a lotto ticket tonight after luck like that. cheers guys and girls

Recently becoming aware of egi clips for easy squid jig change overs I headed to oceanside tackle to grab a pack and a few other bits and pieces, and after geting top notch service from blake and ryan who showed me some new knots and helpful advice, I was off to south mole to try my luck and bang first cast first squid. Hooked a couple more but one got off and the other released due to size so only one for the day but good enough to put a smile on my face. Only bad thing of the day was losing my breaden 3.5 deep jig so gonna have to get a few more i think.

Hey. Im doing a trip up to exmouth in a couple of months with my girlfriend and her cousin from germany. I have been to exmouth quite a few times now and have always wanted to drive the track from coral bay to yardie creek but have never got around to it. Im taking my 4.3 tinny up and was wondering what it would be like towing it on this track. Ive heard its pretty tame but just wanted to hear from anyone else that has done it before. I have a 100 series landcruiser with a lift.
