But its the worst which make good stories... what is more annoying is the pissy little times when you go out and things just go wrong the whole time you're out there, whether on the boat or landbased...

From tangles to knots in places where they arnt meant to be and then snags and wrong bait, to loosing too much line, getting spooled...

arghhh the list goes on.. surely, im not the only one who has bad days... or maybe im just useless and every time I go fishing I spend more time fixing shit than actually fishing. It's starting to really annoy me....

Like seriously, I have a Daiwa CY 2500 which has Nitlon 10lb braid and all it ever wants to flippin do is tangle and knot up....

You dont even have to be rough or try very hard, the thing just tangles and knots up forcing you to snip it, even when you are casting normally....

Maybe I should try some sort of different braid. Fireline has never done this sorta crap. But really, this sorta crap is just enough to annoy you to state that today, was a bad fishing day for me.

I'm heading for some land base fishing and I have'nt been to Woodman Point lately and just hoping to see if anyone has been catching any fish lately out that way? I'm hoping to land some Herring and Garfish but it can be unexpected by me. So I was just wondering if anyone has caught any fish from that platform?

I had planned to head down to the creek and chuck some soft plastics around but the weather is looking good for tomorrow (should have gone out today) so we're gonna head out and troll for some sailies out from Kendrew Island and when it reaches the top of the tide and the current slows we're gonna check some new ground we marked during the billfish comp.

Will post a report tomorrow.

hey because of the weather lately cant really get out in the boat unless your mad so i am thinking of having a crack at some bream in the swan. Ive never really fished for bream to preoccupied with bigger fish but can any one give me some land based spots to go for some bream. I will be using baits and i don't really care if its a bit of a walk to get to the spots.

Im looking for a good site that has info on species like Dhufish, Breaksea Cod, Skippy, Red Snapper etc that are normally encountered in metro waters.

Im trying to find one that covers a wide range of topics from habitat, life span type info to fishing methods etc.

Found some that cover bits and pieces but not one that has the lot.

I am sure everyone guessed this already but based on the current BOM forcast for this Saturday there is no way we would suggest anyone goes out in that. So we will postpone for yet another week and hope for a fishable day. At ths rate it might well be November before we get the planets to align on a given Saturday and provide us with good boating weather. Hey everyone of to coral bay this Friday for a month of fishing so hopefully il have some good pics and a story when i get back,if anyone is heading up let us no,catch up have a beer or two or three or four,just look for bayshore boat with fishwrecked sticker on it.

Coming down south in a couple of weeks to see family probably going to spend some time in Kalbarri. Any help would be appreciated (land based). Might take the 30lb barra gear if theres a chance of something big but if not I'm happy to take my 6lb gear for bream etc..

I've done a lot of creek fishing during summer and I've got it pretty sussed out in that regard but I've done bugger all in this department during winter. Perhaps some other pilbara fishwrecked fellas could help me out. I'm wondering if Jacks are a viable target during winter, and if so, what are some tips to encourage them to bite in the cooler months?
